Welcome to my Artful Journaling blog. It will be a work in progress...

I have just returned from presenting a very successful Artful Journaling workshop at the Rehoboth Art League in Delaware. The small group's enthusiasm, drive and positive attitude carried them through 4 days of writings and finished pages. Amazing. We covered a multitude of page decoration techniques, made an accordian book, covered our journals, learned to make a couple of different envelopes, and completed several writing projects, including 6-word memoirs. Kudos to Charlotte, Genie, Libby and Kathleen for all of their creative efforts.

My journal reflections after arriving back home:

Oh, and there was the beach. The beach. The beach in purrrfect weather. This morning, the water was blue and just riffled enough to glint and sparkle in the sun, with lovely swells that formed sonorous waves along the shoreline. And the beach bagpipe player was back! Two days ago, the shore was shrouded in a morning fog that drenched my hair. Visibility was about 50 feet. Another day, the intermittent spike of a dolphin's fin guided me along the shore. I had some divine frozen custard last night on a final visit to the boardwalk. And let's not forget the tub of Fisher's popcorn... It was a lovely week. I'm starting to get it, i.e., why people like to go downy ocean.
